Privacy Policy

GeoShot was developed according to the principle of data minimisation. Your captures and location data generally remain locally on your device. The provider does not collect, store or transmit any personal data from you and uses no tracking, advertising or analytics tools of any kind.

1. Controller

Responsible for data processing within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR; German: DSGVO):

Steven Daul JUNEVEX Auf dem Klint 2 29227 Celle Deutschland

Phone: +49 151 64031909 Email: support@junevex.app

2. Principle: Processing on the Device Only

All photos and videos you take with GeoShot are stored exclusively in the protected, app-internal storage of your device, not automatically in the iOS photo library and not on a server of the provider. When your device is locked, these files are protected by iOS file encryption. Optionally, you can enable in Settings that captures are additionally saved to the photo library; this feature is turned off by default. With the Pro features unlocked, you can also choose a folder (for example in iCloud Drive, OneDrive or on the device) into which the app places copies of your captures (folder backup). This feature is also turned off by default.

Note: If you back up your iPhone via iCloud Backup or via Finder/iTunes, the app-internal captures are included as part of this device backup. You control this in the iOS settings; the app itself does not initiate any backup.

3. What Data Is Processed

• Photos and videos including the burned-in stamp (map, address, coordinates, accuracy, date/time; for videos, start and end time). • Location data (GPS coordinates and accuracy) at the time of capture. • The address determined from the coordinates (country, state, city, street). • For photos, additionally, invisible metadata in the image file (EXIF): coordinates, accuracy, address and capture time. This embedding is turned on by default and can be turned off in Settings under “Save Location in Photo File”. If it is turned on, this information is transmitted along with the file when you share it. • App settings such as the recipient email address you have entered. • With the Pro features unlocked, additionally: client folders you have created (name, entered address, coordinate, radius) and, for the folder backup, the name of the chosen folder and an access bookmark issued by iOS for this folder.

All of this data is stored locally on the device.

4. Purposes and Legal Bases

The location and address data are processed to add a location, address and time stamp to your captures (documentation and proof purposes). The legal basis is your consent, given by granting the respective iOS permission (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can revoke the permissions at any time in the iOS settings with effect for the future; the lawfulness of the processing carried out up to that point remains unaffected. Without location permission, no stamp can be created.

5. Use of Apple Services (Maps & Address Search)

To display the map preview in the stamp and to determine the address from the coordinates (and when searching for an address for a client folder), the relevant coordinates or address entries are transmitted to Apple (Apple Maps / Apple geo services) and processed there. The provider does not receive this data. The recipient is Apple Inc., One Apple Park Way, Cupertino, CA 95014, USA, or Apple Distribution International Ltd., Ireland. Insofar as data is transferred to the USA in the process, Apple bases the transfer on the adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR), as stated in Apple's privacy policy. In addition, Apple's privacy policy applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

6. Permissions

• Camera: to take photos and videos. • Microphone: to record sound for videos. • Location (while using the app): for the location stamp. • Photo library: when you save a capture there manually or via the optional automatic backup, or (Pro) select a photo or logo from the library. • Files and folders (with Pro features): only for the folder you choose yourself for the folder backup. You can revoke access at any time in the iOS settings under Privacy, “Files and Folders”.

The app only requests the permissions needed for the respective feature.

7. Disclosure of Data

Data is disclosed exclusively by you and at your instigation, for example when you send a capture by email, pass it on via the iOS share function or save it to the photo library. The provider is not involved in this process and receives no data. When sending by email, the mail service set up in iOS is used; the terms of the respective email provider apply. If you have enabled the optional backup to the photo library and a photo backup service (e.g. iCloud Photos, Google Photos or OneDrive) is set up on your device, that service may upload the saved captures to your cloud in accordance with your own settings. This is done by the service you have chosen, not by the app; the provider receives no data in the process, and the terms of the respective service apply. If you have set up the folder backup, the app copies your captures to the folder you have chosen. If this folder is located with a cloud service (e.g. iCloud Drive, OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox), that service's app uploads the files in accordance with your own settings; the provider receives no data in the process, and the terms of the respective service apply. When sharing, sending and backing up, the files carry a name made up of the date and time as well as the client and location of the capture; if “Save Location in Photo File” is turned off, only of the date and time.

8. No Tracking, No Analytics, No Accounts

GeoShot contains no analytics or tracking tools, no advertising and no third-party SDKs. No user account is required, and there is no registration. The provider does not operate its own server on which your data would be stored. There is no automated decision-making and no profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

9. Storage Period and Deletion

Your captures and the associated data remain stored until you delete them in the app or remove the app from the device. When a capture is deleted, the image/video file, thumbnail and associated metadata are removed. When the app is uninstalled, all app-internal data is deleted by iOS. Copies that the folder backup has placed in a folder you chose are located outside the app. They are retained when you delete the capture in the app or remove the app, and you can delete them there yourself.

10. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Since all data is stored exclusively locally on your device and the provider has no access to it, you can exercise these rights directly yourself, in particular by deleting captures in the app at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The supervisory authority responsible for the provider is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen (State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony), Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover.

11. Responsibility for Captures

As the user, you are yourself responsible for ensuring that your captures are made lawfully. When photographing or filming people, other people's property or areas not accessible to the public, you must observe in particular personality rights, the right to one's own image, data protection law and the property owner's rights (Hausrecht).

12. Children

The app is aimed at professional and private users and is not intended for children.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This privacy policy may be adjusted if features of the app or legal requirements change. The current version stored in the app applies in each case (see date of last update).

Terms of Use

These terms of use govern the use of the app GeoShot. By installing and using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. Description of Services

The app takes photos and, once the Pro features are unlocked, videos, and adds a visible stamp consisting of a map preview, address, coordinates including accuracy, and date and time (for videos, start and end time; the stamp shows the location at the start of the recording). The captures are stored within the app and can be exported by the user. The Pro features add your own company logo, stamp templates, stamping of imported photos afterwards, client folders with automatic location sorting, automatic folder backup, and PDF and CSV export (see section 3).

2. Right of Use

The provider grants you a simple, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app on the Apple devices you use, within the scope of Apple's applicable App Store terms of use.

3. Pro Features (In-App Purchase)

The app is free. Some of the features (video recording, your own company logo in the stamp, stamp templates, client folders, automatic folder backup, PDF report, CSV export and importing photos afterwards) can be unlocked through a one-time in-app purchase. This is expressly not a subscription: there is no recurring payment, and the unlock does not expire. The purchase is tied to your Apple ID and can be reactivated on your other devices via “Restore Purchases”. Apple is the contracting party for the purchase; billing, invoicing and the handling of any withdrawal or refund are carried out exclusively via the App Store and are governed by Apple's terms. Captures already created remain fully usable, regardless of whether the Pro features are unlocked.

4. Obligations of the User

You undertake to use the app only within the scope of applicable law. You are solely responsible for the content you create and for its lawful use. In particular, you must ensure that your captures do not infringe the rights of third parties (e.g. personality rights, the right to one's own image, copyright or the property owner's rights).

5. Accuracy / No Official Proof

Location, address and time are determined via the device's services and by Apple and may be inaccurate, delayed or, in individual cases, unavailable. The stamps created by the app are a technical aid for documentation and do not constitute official or legally binding proof. No particular suitability, in particular usability as evidence, is warranted.

6. Data Backup

Captures are stored exclusively locally on your device. If the device is lost, damaged or reset, or if the app is uninstalled, this data may be irretrievably lost. It is your responsibility to export or back up important captures in good time. The folder backup (Pro feature) makes this easier but does not replace checking: whether a copy arrives in the chosen folder and is uploaded depends on the availability of the folder, of the access and of the respective service. If a copy fails, the app shows a notice.

7. Liability

The provider is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and under the Produkthaftungsgesetz (German Product Liability Act). In the case of simple negligence, the provider is liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation (cardinal obligation), limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Otherwise, liability is excluded. Liability for loss of data is limited to the typical recovery effort that would have been incurred had the data been backed up properly and regularly. The statutory warranty rights for digital products (§§ 327 et seq. BGB, German Civil Code) remain unaffected.

8. Availability and Changes

The app is continuously being developed. Features may change, be added or be discontinued. If the app is in a test or beta phase, individual features may not yet be final.

9. Applicable Law

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country of your habitual residence remain unaffected.

10. Severability Clause

Should individual provisions of these terms of use be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
